Beginning to a great year!

Well it is the last day of winter break and we are all sad!  However it will be nice to go back into our routine again.  It is really shaping up to be a great year and I hope it continues!

Friday I took Ethan and his friend Warren to SuperGames for open play for 2 hours where they jumped and played laser tag!  Well it was a super long line to get in and I did not know this but the lady at the front desk let us in for free!  Come to find out...she is one of my Facebook friends!  So nice of her!  Emma hung out at her best friend's house all day and both kids had a wonderful day!

Then Friday evening Erik took us out to dinner to O-Charley's.  He did not pick us up until after 6pm.  So it was really busy and crowded but we managed to sit down within 20 minutes.  Our food took a long time but we did not mind too much.  The manager apologized and we got free dinner!  How nice again!  That never happens to us!

Saturday we ran errands and Ethan played over at his friend Warren's house.  Well Erik broke his frames will cleaning them on Friday and our eye doctor was closed for the holiday.  So we took them over to Lens Crafters to see if they could fix them or see if they had the same frames.  We thought it would be a long shot since his glasses are 2 years old.  Guess what...they had they exact frames and were able to put the lenses in and with our insurance, it was only $30 which the frames were regularly $130!  Yay!

Sunday was our last day to sleep in so we did and decided to visit the Columbus Museum of Art since it is free on Sundays and take pics of Emma in front of her future college (CCAD).  It was a lot of fun and Emma and I just love to look at all the art!  Plus there was this huge Lego exhibit so Ethan was in heaven and also got to build with Legos!

Happy New Year!

We had such a great Christmas with family friends!  Christmas morning the kids woke up to many toys and then we attended our annual Turner Christmas breakfast with my parents at Fort Rapids, then Christmas with Erik's family at our house with lunch/dinner and then celebrating my Uncle Steve's 60th Christmas birthday!  It was so much fun and we love our family dearly!

Then the rest of the week Erik worked a lot from home trying to work on some reports.  So the kiddos and I went shopping with their Christmas cash and gift cards,  New Years Eve we went to Glow Mini Golf in Gahanna which I had totally forgot about and the kids loved it and it was not busy!

For dinner, we had our annual feast at House of Japan which we all love!  It was yummy!  Then we came home and hung out, played games, watched the ball drop and blew noisemakers and poppers at Midnight!  It was a relaxing night for us since we have been so busy in December!  We are hoping for a great 2015!
