O'March

So many events are happening this month but here are a few we captured....Ethan and I enjoyed a little nice weather last week.  We are ready for spring!

This past weekend Emma attended her first sleepover camp for her Youth to Youth girls club from middle school.  She had a great time and can't wait to go back again!  Luckily it was close by in Delaware and she was in a cabin with her friends from Genoa!

Ethan has been taking soccer skill training over the winter at Superkick.  He loves it and here are a few pics of his experience!

Then of course today is St. Patrick's Day.  We are not Irish but my Grandma & Grandpa Beres celebrated each year when I was growing up.  They were Catholic and I just loved all of their traditions!  So I continue to celebrate with my kiddos!

U Can't Touch This

This past Friday Ethan performed at his school's variety show.  He asked me many weeks ago if he could dance in it.  Knowing he has never taken a dance class, I was not sure but he assured me that he could do it.  So he borrowed his sister's hip hop competition dance which happens to be Mc Hammer's "U Can't Touch This".  I had it burned onto another cd and we practiced.  He borrowed some moves from Emma's dance and made up his own.  A week prior to the show, he had to preview it in front of the school's variety show committee.  It was too long so Erik and  I figured out how to shorten it to 1 min and 30 secs.  He practiced and practiced!

Friday evening arrived and he was ready!  Ethan was hoping his 2 best friends would come but both are a little shy and would no way perform nor I think they are into the show.  Ethan however has watched his sister dance since he was 2 years old so he is comfortable with dancing.  I just was not sure about dancing by himself in front of an audience.  He performed in the first act and was #3!  He did extremely well and the crowd loved him!  He asked me if he could do it again next year!  I have been asked by several of Emma's dance teachers and parents if he was going to take boys hip hop.  Ethan has never shown an interest so I never gave it a second thought...until now!  It will have to coincide with soccer since he will not give that up!

Then to top it off, he lost his other front tooth so he has no front teeth!  So cute!

Dancin'...dancin'!

This weekend we traveled to Mason, OH on Saturday morning!  Luckily the weather cooperated and it took no time.  All of Emma's 6 competition dances were all on the same day.  Emma and all the dancers that danced their hearts out and did a wonderful job!  All her dances placed and she was so excited!  It was a long day and night!  After the last awards of the night, we headed home.  We did not get home until 1 am but we missed the snow!

To top it off, Ethan lost his front tooth at the competition!  He was so excited!  The other one is loose too so the Tooth Fairy might be coming soon!

Sunday evening was Ethan's indoor soccer class which he loves!  So we got to see both of our kids in the sports they love!  All worth the craziness!
