Spring Fever

This weekend was a very busy but important one for the Kyre Family.  Friday night Emma danced in the first 4th Friday event this season.  She had 3 dances and was very excited.  She did very well and I am proud of how hard she is working!

Then Ethan had a 9am Saturday soccer game.  It was early and cold but this is his thing.  He is also working very hard at his sport.  He is little and slower than some of the players but he gives it his all! Plus he got to play goalie the first half which he loves.  He is still figuring it out!

Sunday morning...was our walk for March for Babies downtown at COSI!  We worked very hard starting late last year fundraising and we made our team goal of $1,000!  I have never raised that much as a team and we have been a team for 5 years!  So everyone that donated and/or helped with fundraising "THANK YOU"!  You all are helping save babies lives!  We decided to walk the 1 mile since Erik has a boot on his foot.  I did not want him to walk but he insisted to walk with our family team!  Love him!

Then Sunday evening Ethan had soccer training.  He loved it and also got to be with a friend on his team and some classmates!

Spring Break Fun

This year again we decided to have another "staycation" but Erik was off the whole week with us!  It was a great week with everyone home I believe we probably spent as much as we would have if we left Ohio for a week!

Monday we drove to Jeffersonville to the outlet and Miss Emma is still growing like a weed so she bought some spring clothes and we did not leave the little man out and got him some clothes too!

Tuesday we went to the Franklin Park Conservatory which is our annual spring break trip!  We watched the butterflies and tried to catch them.  We even got to see some new butterflies released!  Emma and Ethan first freak out when the butterflies are flying around them and then they get used to it.  I caught several myself!  Then we went to the gift shop and purchased our caterpillars to change into butterflies at home.  My kids so love this but hopefully our cat does not notice!  I placed the butterfly house on our fireplace mantel!  We also colored Easter eggs that evening as well!  I am so happy my kids still love doing this tradition.

Wednesday we went to the zoo!  It was a beautiful day!  Erik did really well with this since he is having foot trouble.  We saw all of our favorite animals and some great exercise!

Thursday we slept in and then went to COSI.  It was super crowded but we also decided to buy a family membership.  We normally go once a year but with a family membership, you can go 2 times and it is paid for!  Emma wanted to do the high wire unicycle again but the line was like an hour long...so next time.  We all had a great day!

Friday another sleep in day!  Erik had to get MRIs on his back and his foot.  We are hoping no surgery for either and will have results this week!  It was a day of relaxing and hanging out!

The weekend was full of Easter fun!  Saturday we went to see my Dad for Easter and my Mom was working.  The kids love seeing him.  We do not see my parents much due to their work schedules so it was nice.  Sunday we went to church and then Erik's Mom and Grandma came over for Easter lunch, Easter gifts and an egg hunt!

This week was so much fun but back to school and work!
