May is one of my busiest months for our family due to recitals, choir shows, soccer, birthdays, etc. But is also lots of fun! Here is the rest of our month in a nutshell!
First was Emma's recital(s)! She danced in 7 out of 8 shows! I am so proud of her and how much she has grown as a dancer! Hope she continues with it!
Next up is Emma's last 7th grade choir concert! She really likes choir and she is taking this again in 8th grade! She had a few speaking parts in this as well!
The 2nd to last day of school was SuperGames for Ethan! I was working so a couple of Moms grabbed some pics for me! It was a great day for it!
We decided that Emma could get her 2nd ear piercings on her 13th birthday since that is when I had mine done too. I went ahead and had it done a few days early since it was Memorial Day weekend! I did not remember it being so expensive otherwise I would have pierced them myself it I was not a "responsible parent" like I am...most of the time!
We visited the Westerville Field of Heroes and saw some flags of our friends and family. Such a wonderful event each year!
Emma turned 13 on Monday. I can't believe how much time has flown by and she is a teenager! I am so excited to see what the future holds for her! For her birthday we went to the pool and invited her BFF Emily and then went to dinner at her fave House of Japan! Her party will be this Sunday with her friends at Lush at Polaris Fashion Place!

May flowers
May has started off with a bang! We had many events so far this month! At the beginning of May was our annual March for Babies walk. Erik and I have been walking in this for over 20 years and I have been currently serving as a member of the Family Teams Committee. So much fun and for a great cause! The weather was great too!
Then Ethan and I made a poster for Teacher Appreciation Week for his 3rd grade teacher. So much fun and well deserved!
Last Friday was Career Day at Emma's middle school. Different companies came to speak to the students about different jobs within their workplaces. She came home very excited and said she wanted to be a graphic designer for Bath and Body Works!
Finally we celebrated Mother's Day last weekend. Saturday Erik's Mom and Grandma visited and we had an early dinner to celebrate not only Mother's Day but Erik's birthday. On Sunday, Erik and the kiddos took me to lunch to Marcella's! It was so yummy! Then we visited my Mom! Finally we ran errands and had dinner at B'Dubs to celebrate an early bday with Erik! Fun weekend!

We also attended Fouse's 3rd grade state presentations this month! Ethan researched South Carolina which is his favorite vacation spot. We have been vacationing there before he was born! He did a great job and so did the entire 3rd grade!

Spring is here!
April was another busy month full of fun and activities! However this month was mostly about Emma!
She performed at the Starry Night event in Westerville that included different learning experiences for families. Emma actually performed solo in one of her fave dances this school year! We were so proud of her and hope she continues this trend!
Then it was parent watch week at dance. I watched Emma in all of her classes which are I think 10-11 classes 4 days of the week! It was fun to see her in her element!
Then she performed in Westerville's 4th Friday which is the very first one of the season! Love these performances!
On April 24th, Emma confirmed her faith in God at our church and it was my Mom's 60th birthday! It was a wonderful day!
