Ending June with a bang!

This past week has been all about volunteering, dancing & some pool time!  For my 8th or 9th year, I have been volunteering to make snack for my church's Vacation Bible School.  The past 3 years, I have been the lead..yikes!  Emma attend this from K-5th grade and Ethan has as well.  She also helped me when she was not at summer dance classes which helped alot!  Over 200 kids and 50+ volunteers all fed and coordinated the theme of the bible story each day!

Then Friday night Emma performed in the Westerville 4th Friday for the preview of dances she will be performing at Disney in less than 2 weeks!  She did very well as did the other dancers!

Then it was a much needed pool time on Saturday and Sunday after church.  Sunday my parents joined us as well and my kids really loved that since they do not see them that often!

Fun in the sun....

The weather is finally coming around and feeling like June.  This month is no exception to the chaos of sports, activities, etc.  However that is the way we like it!

At the beginning of the month, Ethan had his Classics Eagles Summer Camp.  It was a 3 hour-5 day camp.  It was great for me as well since I could get things done and try to get in a workout!  He had so much fun and several of his friends attended as well!  Thank you to his Nana as his early birthday gift of camp!

Next we had a weekend of pool time!  Emma wanted to have a friend go swimming with us before she moves to GA.  So we brought her along and the girls had their girl time but also hung out a little with us!

Then my birthday was Monday.  I used to not really care about my birthday until I had kids.  I love that they get excited to celebrate it with me and make it special for me.  Since it was a Monday, Erik had to work and Emma had dance classes.  So I took Ethan to the driving range and then we hit the pool for 4 hours!  So much fun to spend one on one time with him!  Then we went to dinner with Erik and Emma as well at one of my favorite restaurants...Marcella's.  Yum!  I received gift cards from family and a nice new Fitbit Charge HR from my mother in law.  I have broken 2 Fitbit charges and I could not receive anymore free :(    So I hope this one holds up better!

Makeovers...oh my!

To make it a special 13th birthday, we had a party at Lush in Polaris Mall this past Sunday evening.  This is an organic cosmetic store and smells wonderful as soon as you walk in.  Emma invited 5 girls to get facials and make bath bombs!  The hostesses were extremely nice and very helpful!  The girls glammed up for an hour  and 30 mins and then we had subs and cupcakes.  Each girl took home a bath bomb and some goodies from the store we bought for them!  I hope she had a wonderful party!  You are only 13 once!

 Her birthday this year was May 30th and on Memorial Day this year!  Her presents from us were her second ear piercings from Claire's, her cute tap shirt and of course her party!  Plus she went to the pool with her BFF and had dinner at House of Japan!  A very expensive birthday but it is a special one!
