Vacation Baby...

Last week we took our annual vacation to HHI, SC.  Erik and I have been vacationing there for over 15 years and have been taking the kids since each of them have been a year old.  The 12 hour drive is not so much fun and Erik drove both to and from.  Yay for me!  However we did have some issues before we left.  We decided to take Erik's Honda Accord since it has better gas mileage but when we were all packed up and ready to go, his car would not start.  Luckily his Mom had some jumper cables and jumped it with my car and we were off!

The week was wonderful!  It was 90's there but the humidity was over 105 or so.  We arrived Friday evening only to find out the condo was not cleaned.  The owner and the cleaning company had some miscommunication but she did come around 10:30 pm to clean with a basket of beach towels and sunscreen.  The week was filled with playing on the beach, going to the pool, eating out, mini-golf, shopping, dolphin cruise, visiting Savannah, GA, more eating out, more shopping, Harbour Town, etc.  We had a great time and all were sad it ended.

The kids start school in about 2 weeks so we have to get back into our routines.  All and all we have had a busy summer but lots of fun.  I hope each summer is like this one!
